Presidential Inaguration

This is going to be one of those times you remember where you were when this historic action took place. Kind of like the challenger or President Kennedy, but maybe at a lower meaning because this wasn't a tragedy it was the opposite. The day the nation saw hope and. So this is where my mother and I were...sitting in our parlor watching the TV just like hundreds of thousands of other people. Although some watch in disbelief that this day would come others watch in pure excitement that it did. The next fours years will be something to watch...

Snowing Again

Yup, no surprise we are getting another 6" today in Michigan. I love snow, but don't like my car in snow. This morning I pretty much got stuck and it took forever to get out. Of course I didn't want to call anyone unless I was really in trouble.

Got home and decided it was time to shovel and of course watch the dogs play. There is something about snow that gets all of them wound up and excited

When us Michiganders get snow, we don't think cold, we think snowboarding

Aaron & I went snowboarding after getting probably 7in Saturday evening. It was great all that fresh snow. I haven't been snowboarding in fresh snow in forever! It was fantastic! Aaron loved snowboarding in the daytime...and it truly is better than going at night. We have been talking about going to Colorado or out west, but Aaron keeps telling me I need to practice. So here we were practicing. We will see about Colorado, but as for Sunday it was a good time. And hopefully I will get enough courage to do some jumps.

So the above picture is me after I had fell on the side hill on quicksilver. I feel in such a way that I had twisted my arm back, so I needed a minute. Aaron asked if I was okay, but I just yelled back to him that I needed a minute and all I could hear was him laughing.
And we are spent...

Bunco Night

Mom had the ladies over for Bunco night, which for those that don't know, as Aaron did, I believe it is a dice game where you can win prizes. Mom made some great food (no i didn't touch anything...at least until the ladies where gone). She made fondue and there was a ton of chocolate left!

The dogs were banished away. Phoenix was stuck with me and Aaron watching movies in another room and Callie & Lola just plain got stuck in their crates. But Phoenix did greet most of the ladies at the door, might as well take advantage of a good training exercise opportunity! And I think he did GREAT!

More Snow

We got more snow over the past two days. Work was crazy with calls about cars in ditches. We probably got about 6" of the white fluffy stuff, which is not enough in my opinion. Whenever it snows a decent amount I let Phoenix and Callie outside to play together as a special treat because for now the trainer says they are to go outside separately while Phoenix is working out his slight or onset of dog aggression. Funny, how such a big baby at home he is then when someone comes over he is Mr. Scary.

Christmas Morning

Sorry guys I know this is a bit late. As usual I asked mom & dad to take pictures of the family gathering for Christmas since I didn't get to go, I was working...public service jobs are great! Anyways so here are the only pictures that I actually have. It is TBA if there are pictures from the actual gathering.
